My goal is to introduce myself and the ministries that God has
given me to reach those that are without Christ in this world.
I aim to do this by information. We live in a world full of
information and technology. The problem is most of us don't
even know it. Instead, we sit idle just waiting for stuff to
happen; never fully unerstanding that we live, die, succeed and
fail by the choices we make.
Years ago, as I sat listening to my Pastor Dr. Andrew Lockhart
of Charlotte, NC the Lord spoke through him telling me in a simple
phrase that "Life is choice driven." It was such a wake up call
in my spirit and such a powerful revelation that my day to day
activity will determine my successful or unsuccessful future.
In August of 1994, the first important choice I made was to hear the gospel being preached. Next I chose to believe what I had heard. After that I was faced with making daily choices to obey and apply what I heard to my life.
In September of 1996, the Lord allowed me to begin teaching what I've learned to others. Soon I began preaching it..now I'm rapping it.
Yes, I said, "I'm rapping it." There's a whole generation out there that has an ear to hear--but are not being approached with the sound they can relate to. Don't get me wrong..the technique I use it merely a "tool". I realize that no man comes to God the Father unless the Holy Spirit draws him. I'm simply stating that the "tool" God has granted me is through rap (poetic lyrics over beats) to grab the attention of those with an ear to hear.
Like other ministers of the gospel, the Lord has anointed me with this tool in the form of poetry over beats to grab the attention of believers and nonbelievers; those who will and will not step foot inside of a local church or even tune in to a gospel radio station. There's no limit to the mercy of God and how He chooses to equip His vessels to bait His inheritance. The gospel is the gospel and nothing can change or add to it. The strategy however, the way it is expressed and presented to those that need to hear is something different.
I have such a desire to see souls saved and lives changed through the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that when I stand before His people "I" stand as a dead woman allowing the Greater One in me to think through my mind and speak through my lips..and at the end of the day all I want to know is Lord Jesus, are you pleased?
I want to tell you that there is nothing worth dying for than to see a soul come to the alter with a heart of repentance for the remission of their sins to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord...
When God sends me I go and when I get there I can say that I've obeyed Him. But what about you? The choice is yours. Choose today whom you will serve.
